The Tunisian President stresses the need to modernize the military equipment in his country to avoid disasters

Tunisia (ST): Tunisian President Kais Saeed stressed the necessity of renewing the military equipment that the country possesses, after the crash of a helicopter in the north of the country, and the death of four soldiers on board yesterday.

The Tunisian News Agency reported that Saeed stressed, during his meeting yesterday with Tunisian Defense Minister Imad Mameesh, the details of the incident, that “such incidents that could be witnessed by any country unfortunately occur in Tunisia as a result of the erosion of a number of equipment, which led and is still leading to such calamities ”, stressing the necessity of urgently renewing military equipment.

Saeed praised the role played by the Tunisian Armed Forces in preserving the country’s sovereignty and the skills and competencies that work to develop its mechanisms and equipment.

The Tunisian presidency announced the death of four military personnel, following the fall of a helicopter that was carrying out a night flight mission, in the Cap Sirat region in the state of Binzerte yesterday.
