The Minister of Transport discusses with the Ambassador of Belarus in Damascus the development of cooperation relations between the two countries
The Minister of Transport, Eng. Zuhair Khuzaym, discussed with the Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus in Damascus, Yuri Sloka, the friendship relations between the two countries, and prospects for developing bilateral cooperation in the transport sectors.
Minister Khuzaym pointed out the need to build on the bilateral agreements that were signed between the two countries during the visit of the Prime Minister of Belarus to Damascus in November 2022 and launch it in a practical way, push forward relations and establish joint investment projects in land, sea, air and rail transport with the Ministry of Transport and Communications in Belarus.
Minister Khuzaym called for uniting efforts in order to face the challenges and circumstances, in addition to establishing a network of economic relations with countries that have the same principles and values.
For his part, the Belarusian ambassador affirmed that the areas of cooperation with Syria are wide, especially in the transport sectors, calling for knowledge of the development and investment projects in Belarus and the industrial and technological development that it is witnessing, and to benefit from it in unlimited bilateral cooperation, especially since the bilateral projects in the fields of transport are diverse and wide.
The Belarusian ambassador pointed out the necessity of activating the steps of cooperation, coordination and meetings, and accelerating the pace of work, in a way that serves the interests of the two friendly countries.
