The Palestinian Ministry of Information calls on the Security Council to protect Palestinian journalists
The Palestinian Ministry of Information called on the Security Council to implement its decisions into action in order to provide the Palestinian journalists with means of protection through holding the Israeli occupation accountable for its crimes against the Palestinian media staff.
WAFA news agency quoted the ministry as saying in a statement today: The direct targeting of photojournalists Moamen Samreen and Rabi’ al-Munir by the occupation forces, during the Israeli storming of the old town in the West Bank city of Ramallah at dawn today, is part of the open aggression carried out by the occupation, and a persistent disregard for all international laws that provide protection for media professionals during their work, which requires holding accountable the occupation forces that facilitate pressing the trigger against journalists and assault them premeditatedly.
