Syria takes part in the 47th session of the General Assembly of the Arab Red Cross and Red Crescent Organization
Yesterday, in the Qatari Capital, Doha, the activities of the 47th session of the General Assembly of the Arab Red Cross and Red Crescent Organization (Arco) kicked off with the participation of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent President Khaled Hboubati and the Secretary-General of the Organization Khaled Arsousi.
Participants are discussing the response of the Arco and its members to the devastating earthquake that struck the region last February and to the humanitarian situations in the Arab countries that have been affected by the earthquake.
The conference, which lasts for two days, was attended by the heads and secretaries of the organization and associations of Arab Red Crescent and Red Cross, while the Assembly’s agenda includes electing a Secretary-General for Arco and discussing reports related to its work.
