Syria wins gold and silver medals in the International Kickboxing Championship in Jordan

Amman (ST) – The Syrian Qudsaya Club players won a gold and two silver medals on the first day of the International Kickboxing Clubs Championship, which is currently being held in the Jordanian capital, Amman.

n the point-fighting style, Walid Hajji won the gold medal in the 52 kg and junior category, after defeating the Algerian and the Jordanian players.

The player Elia Ismael won a silver in the weight of 63 kg, after defeating the Jordanian champion and losing to the Egyptian national team player.

In the light-contact style, the player Louis Koa won a silver medal in the above 47 kg and junior category, after defeating the Palestinian and Jordanian national teams’ players and losing to the Egyptian national team player.

The Qudsaya club’s delegation to the championship includes Elia Ismail, Walid Hajji, Louis Koa, Raneem Hajji, and Sidra Omran. A group of Syrian referees are part of the jury of the tournament, including Khaled Hajji, Muhammad Al-Ali, Omar Itafi, Farid Al-Tajer, Yasmine Qarqmas, George Khoury, Ibrahim Battal and Asmahan Suleiman, who will also take part in the he International Referees Course that will be held on the sidelines of the tournament.
