Occupied Al-Quds (ST) – The Israeli occupation authorities announced on Sunday evening a new settlement building plan in the city of Salfit in the occupied West Bank.
Wafa News Agency stated that the new plan aims to seize more than 10 thousand dunums of agricultural land in the towns of Zawiya, Derblot, Rafat, and Masha, west of the city, with the aim of expanding settlement operations there.
The governor of Salfit, Abdullah Kamil, affirmed that the occupation’s settlement plans are a flagrant violation of the international law and resolutions of international legitimacy, foremost of which is Security Council Resolution No. 2334 of 2016, which affirms the illegality of settlement in the occupied Palestinian territories and calls for its immediate cessation.
Kamil called on the international community to take decisive positions to put pressure on the occupation forces to stop their expansionist settlement practices and policies.
