The DPRK rejects the UN Security Council’s interference in its sovereign affairs
On June 4th, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the DPRK Kim Yo Jong criticized the meeting held by the UN Security Council last week regarding the DPRK’s launch of a space missile.
She described the meeting as a biased act aimed at interfering in the country’s internal sovereign affairs.
“The UN Security Council often calls for accountability for the DPRK’s exercise of its rights as a sovereign state at the request of the United States, and condemns and rejects it, which is the most unfair and biased act of interference in the internal affairs of DPRK,” she said.
She considered that the meeting should be regarded as a serious insult and distortion of the spirit of the United Nations Charter, and a willful failure to accomplish the real tasks of the United Nations.
