The Russian Embassy in Washington: America must abandon its aggressive approach towards Russia

Washington (ST): The Russian embassy in the United States called on the US administration to abandon the aggressive approach it adopts against Moscow, stressing that the measures it took in the context of the Strategic and Offensive Reduction Treaty (START) will not affect Russia’s position.

Washington had announced, as of yesterday, that it had stopped sending information to the Russian side about the status and location of its strategic weapons covered by the Treaty, as well as the cancellation of US visas granted to Russian experts participating in inspections under the START Treaty.

Novosti agency quoted the embassy as saying: “We have taken into account the countermeasures announced by the United States in the context of the START treaty, but these measures will not affect the Russian position, which confirms that there is only one way to renew the Treaty, and it is well known to the American side, and it requires abandoning its hostile course towards our country .”
