A Malaysian tourist group consisting of 40 people visited the shrine of Imam al-Nawawi in the city of Nawa in the western countryside of Daraa.
Sheikh Anwar Ahmed, the imam of a mosque in Malaysia, said in a statement to SANA reporter: Visiting the shrine of Imam al-Nawawi has a religious value, as we were able to learn important information about this well-known imam.
In his turn, Director of Tourism, Yasser Al-Saadi, stated that the visit to the Nawawi shrine was the delegation’s second stop after the city of Bosra. The Directorate of Tourism provided this group with necessary facilities in addition with a historical overview of the shrine.
