The General Foundation for Cinema participates in the Casablanca Independent Film Festival in Morocco
The General Film Organization participates in the official competition of the Casablanca Independent Film Festival in its second session, which starts tomorrow with the feature film “The Road” by director Abdel Latif Abdel Hamid
Abdel Hamid wrote the script of the film in partnership with the late Adel Mahmoud.
The film will compete in the feature film competition, which will continue until the seventh of this month, with 12 films from 16 Arab and foreign countries, for 7 prizes, which are the grand prize called “Anfa Golden Award for Feature Film”.
The film talks about the simplicity of rural life with characters belonging to their environment, which is colored by warm life details that bear their hopes and disappointments, as a result of the storms of life.
The main bearer of its events is the child Saleh and his suffering as a result of being accused of stupidity by everyone around him, but his grandfather who bears the same name takes it upon himself to transform the child’s cognitive stupidity to cognitive and aesthetic intelligence.
A group of Syrian artists, including Mowaffaq Al-Ahmad, Ghaith Daher, Mamoun Al-Khatib, Rabab Merhej, Ahmed Kanaan, Rand Abbas, Tamader Ghanem, Majed Issa, Rama Al-Zein, Alaa Zahreddine, Hashem Ghazal, Khaled Rizk and others participated in the film which won three awards at the Carthage Days Film Festival.
