Prisoners Affairs Authority warns of the deteriorating health condition of three Palestinian prisoners in occupation jails
Occupied Al-Quds, (ST) – The Palestinian Authority of Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs on Wednesday warned of the deterioration of the health condition of three Palestinian prisoners in the occupation jails as a result of the repressive violations against them. The prisoners are Walid Masalmeh, Ahmed Salah and Sami Jaradat.
According to Wafa News Agency, the Authority clarified that the prisoner, Masalmeh, 49, from the town of Beit Awa in the city of Al-Khalil (Hebron), who is sentenced to life imprisonment, is facing intentional medical negligence and procrastination in providing medical treatment to him, especially since he has been suffering from kidney stones for three years and from pain in his left leg muscle.
The Authority pointed out that prisoner Salah, 52, from Bethlehem, sentenced to 21 life sentences and 10 years in prison, suffers from lung fibrosis and colitis, while the prisoner Jaradat, 55, from Silat Al-Harithiya town in Jenin, who is sentenced to 21 life sentences and 50 years in prison, complains of urinary tract problems and obstruction of the urethra”, the authority added.
The Authority called on international human rights institutions and the Red Cross to play their role in saving the lives of the Palestinian prisoners who are victims of the occupation’s crimes and policy of deliberate medical negligence and to hold the perpetrators accountable.
