Damascus, (ST) – The Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Louay Imad Al-Din Al-Munajjid stressed the importance of the participation of Syrian children in outdoor recreational camps, with the aim of enriching their information and knowledge and providing them with an opportunity to communicate with their peers from friendly countries within various activities, including the “Zubronak Health Recreational Camp”, which will start tomorrow in the Republic of Belarus.

Al-Munajjid made the remarks during his meeting on Wednesday with 75 children from the Baath Vanguards Organization (BVO) before they leave this evening to Belarus to participate in the recreational camp.

The children’s participation in the camp contributes to alleviating the psychological impacts of the terrorist war that targeted Syria on Syrian children, the minister said.

He stressed that the Ministry provided all facilities and capabilities to make the camp a success, and it is working to later contribute to  implementing new programs and transfer the experience to other groups.

Minister Al-Munajjid indicated that the “Leader Industry” program, which the Ministry is preparing to launch, aims to pay attention to the leadership skills of children, develop their talents and provide them with psychological support.

In turn, the Head of the Baath Vanguards Organization, Dr. Izzat Arabi Katbi, pointed out that the children are the second batch of Baath vanguards that travel to participate in the recreational camp for a period of 15 days, where they will take part in recreational, social, cultural, sports and artistic activities.

Dr. Arabi Katbi pointed out that the first batch of children, who left to Belarus on the 15th of this month will arrive in Syria tomorrow, after the end of their participation in the same camp. He added that the children in the two batches were chosen from among pioneer children, and their participation is a new experience for them that enhances their skills and creativity, and an opportunity to highlight their talents as well as the distinction of the Syrian child.
