The experience of the Ministry of Education in digital transformation reviewed during the thirteenth conference of Arab education ministers

Rabat (ST): The Syrian delegation participating in the thirteenth Conference of Arab Ministers of Education under the title “The Future of Education in the Arab World in the Era of Digital Transformation”  made a presentation that included the experience of the Ministry of Education in digital transformation, as part of the national experiences in the Arab countries.

During the session, Director of Informatics at the Ministry, Dr. Yasser Noah, reviewed the experience that included information technology in the educational sector, automation systems, infrastructure, citizen service center, informatics and robotics curricula, integrating technology with education, blended learning, educational platforms, virtual schools, difficulties, challenges and needs.

Noah referred to the educational information management system, its objectives, and the exams system, where the Ministry, in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications and Technology, was able to send questions for general certification exams in all its branches from the Ministry to the Directorates of Education using digital certificates, in addition to a project to build an open-source digital educational repository to manage digital educational content, its goals ,challenges and its difficulties.
