26 players participate in the Al-Hasakah Men’s Chess Championship

The Executive Committee of the General Sports Federation in Al-Hasakah held the governorate’s chess championship in the men’s category, with the participation of 26 players from eight clubs.

The eight clubs are Al-Jazira, Amuda, Al-Jihad, Ras Al-Ain, Al-Jibsa, Al-Shabiba, Tal Hamis and Al-Hasakah Workers.

The first place was won by the player Kawa Younes from Amuda Club, followed by Milad Melki from Al-Jazira Club, Muhammad Goy from Al-Jihad Club, and MazenDaghim from Gibsa Club.

The Head of the Technical Committee for Chess, Mithaq Al-Hassan, stated that the tournament was held according to the Swiss playing system of seven rounds, and the time is sixty minutes with a cumulative ten seconds after each move.The tournament was characterized by the players creative moves and strong competition, especially for the first positions.
