The National Earthquake Center: 9 weak tremors recorded during the past 24 hours

Damascus (ST): The National Earthquake Center announced that its stations recorded 9 weak earthquakes during the past 24 hours, with a magnitude of less than 4 degrees on the Richter scale.

The Center indicated in its announcement that among the recorded tremors were 5 tremors northwest of Latakia, 40 to 43 kilometers away, with a magnitude ranging between 2.2 and 3.7 degrees, an earthquake in northeastern Lebanon with a magnitude of 1.6 degrees, and an earthquake south of Quneitra with a magnitude of 17 kilometers with a magnitude of 1.8 degrees, and two tremors in the Turkish mainland, the larger of the two is as much as 3.9 degrees.

In its announcement, the Center confirmed that all of these tremors, in terms of number, location, and magnitude, are within the expected probability , according to the studies prepared at the Centre.
