Adherence to resistance is the most durable and solid stance in the face of the Israeli occupation

Lebanon and its national resistance commemorate today the twenty-third anniversary of the Resistance and Liberation Day, when the Israeli enemy was defeated on the 25th of May of the year 2000 and had to flee from the majority of the occupied Lebanese lands under the cover of darkness, after the huge sacrifices made by the Lebanese people and their national resistance in the face of the occupier.
On the twenty-fifth of May 2000, the national resistance and the Lebanese people, after years of steadfastness and struggle, managed to defeat the Israeli occupation, which withdrew its invading forces and evacuated its positions from dozens of villages and towns in the southern parts of Lebanon.
Prior to the day of victory and liberation, the people of southern Lebanon, on the twenty-first of May, formed human chains supported by the Lebanese resistance to liberate the occupied southern villages, while the attacks and shelling were carried out by the Israeli occupation forces but did not prevent the Lebanese people from advancing.
On the next day, villages of the south of Lebanon were liberated side by side with neighboring villages, while the people stormed the Khiam detention center, opened its doors, and liberated the prisoners with the defeat of the occupation and its agents there.
The Loyalty Bloc of the Lebanese Resistance affirmed in a statement on this occasion that the liberation of most of southern Lebanon from the Israeli enemy is a national holiday made by a model resistance that the Lebanese people committed to as a strategic and practical choice and an alternative to other futile options, noting that this day constitutes a decisive qualitative crossroad between a state of weakness, depression and surrender to the status quo, and the state of advancement towards liberation and the sense of self-confidence as well as the ability to achieve victory.
The Lebanese national resistance began early to celebrate this anniversary through the military maneuver the resistance recently conducted at the site of “The Throne Crusher” in southern Lebanon, as the maneuver resonated to reaffirm the readiness of the resistance and its accumulated capabilities in the face of any possible Israeli aggression against Lebanon.
The victory of the twenty-fifth of May and its strategic and historical repercussions reaffirm the necessity of adhering to the approach of the resistance to achieve and protect victory. This victory proves that the will of resistance is capable of achieving victory, no matter how arrogant the enemy may be.
