A collective exhibition entitled “Visual Melodies” opened in the exhibition hall of the Arab Cultural Center in Abu Rummaneh in Damascus, which included more than fifty paintings for thirteen painters.
The exhibition displayed paintings including diverse themes such as nature, Arabic calligraphy, old Damascus etc… . The artists who are a group of male and female artists belong to various artistic schools, used oil colors to expressive styles and techniques
Artist Adnan Qasem displayed five oil colors paintings which depicted human feelings including sadness, happiness, and optimism
“I like to use dark autumnal colors to express my ideas. I love to draw portraits; most of my drawings are about portraits”. Adnan participated in more than one collective exhibition. He sees that participating in collective exhibitions allows people to get acquainted with his drawings.
Another artist, Manwela Al-Hakim,Adham who graduated from Ismail Center for fine arts participated in the exhibition with four paintings depicting Arabic calligraphy and Damascus lanes from our ancient heritage. The paintings related to realistic school paintings.
Manwela took part in several collective exhibitions, she sees that participating in collective exhibitions helps her to gain more experience.
For her part, artist Lama Salem learned drawing at Adham Ismail for Fine Art.She displayed three oil colors paintings depicting natural landscapes. She participated in collective exhibitions for the second time to familiarize herself with other artists’ works.
Artist Mohammad Ali Zarzour, exhibited two paintings which are related to expressionism school using a knife to reflect his inner ideas. The first drawing expresses human feeling as love, kindness and compassion, while the second one reflects the city Damascus .The artist sees that participating in collective exhibitions makes people familiar with his drawings.
Artist Maysoon Al- Sidawi participated with five paintings depicting the beautiful nature including flowers, trees, and birds. Maysoon took part in more than fifteen collective exhibitions. The artist said “as friends of artists we held this exhibition to show our works to the audience because collective exhibitions attract more visitors.
Artist Osama Al- Hussein who visited the exhibition praised the high level of paintings presented in general, with distinguished works that reflect high talents
