Al-Ghabbash calls for applying WHO’s resolutions on health conditions in occupied Jerusalem and Golan

GENEVA, May.23, (ST)- The activities of the 76th session of the World Health Assembly continue in Geneva with the participation of Syria.

The Minister of Health, Hasan Al-Ghabbash expressed in a speech at the conference his appreciation for the efforts being made to raise awareness about health in general , hoping that the aspirations would be realized to help boost health systems in countries of the region.

Al-Ghabash thanked friendly countries that stood by Syria during the catastrophe of the devastating earthquake which left thousands of victims and caused a tough humanitarian situation added to the repercussions of war and coercive measures that increased the suffering 0f the people.

He called for applying the resolutions of WHO on the health conditions in the occupied Palestinian territories, including Al-Quds [Jerusalem] and the occupied Syrian Golan.

“Despite all the difficult circumstances that our countries are going through, sudden crises can break patterns of behavior and turn them into cooperative ones,” the minister said, calling on all countries to stand by Syria and lift the inhumane coercive measures imposed on the Syrian people.
