Palestinian Foreign Ministry: International condemnation of Ben Gvir’s incursion into Al-Aqsa Mosque is not enough
The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has stated that the international condemnations of the provocative act of storming into Al-Aqsa Mosque by the Israeli minister Itamar Ben Gvir on Sunday don’t rise to the level of political, legal and moral responsibilities that should be shouldered by the states and the international community to stop the violations and crimes of the Israeli occupation against the Palestinians.
In a statement on Tuesday, the ministry said these condemnations are not enough as they come within the framework of traditional reactions which are confined to words of condemnation away from punitive measures when the occupation doesn’t abide by the international law.
The Ministry affirmed that attaining a just settlement of the Palestinian cause requires a real international stance that compels the occupation to stop its Judaization plans in the occupied city of Al-Quds and its annexation scheme in the West Bank, and to take the necessary punitive measure against the occupation to ensure that the international legitimacy resolutions, foremost of which is Resolution 2334, are implemented.
