Syria, Kazakhstan to enhance bilateral relations

Damascus, (ST) – The Governor of Damascus, Engineer Muhammad Tariq Krishati, discussed with the Consul of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Damascus, Bakhit Aristan means of strengthening and developing bilateral relations between Syria and Kazakhstan, and arrangements for the opening of the Al-Farabi Cultural Center, and putting it into service during the coming period.

Krishati affirmed the governorate’s readiness to provide all facilities for the opening of the Al-Farabi Cultural Center in Damascus, and to activate its cultural, historical and scientific activities and programmes. He expressed his gratitude for the relief efforts made by Kazakhstan during the disaster of the earthquake that struck Syria.

For his part, Aristan praised the historical relations that bind the peoples of the two countries, and the efforts exerted to open the center. He stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation between the Kazakh cities and Damascus in the service, investment and cultural fields.
