A Polish tourist group visits the historical Syrian city of Bosra Al-Sham

Daraa, (ST) – A Polish tourist group consisting of 13 male and female tourists visited yesterday the city of Bosra Al-Sham in Daraa Governorate, to see the archaeological and tourist sites there.

The tourist group included researchers in Islamic studies, a doctor, a judge, an engineer, music and computer specialists, businessmen and owners of luxury restaurants.

Dr. Majdolina Al-Ghamri, a specialist in Islamic studies of the Middle East said in a statement to SANA reporter: “It is the first time that I visit Syria, and I was impressed by what I saw there, in general, and in Bosra, in particular, because of the archaeological monuments it contains that have been preserved for thousands of years, especially the Mabrak al-Naqa mosque, which I did not know anything about throughout my study of Islamic history.”

Al-Ghamri expressed her happiness for visiting Syria and stressed that all rumors about Syria in the Western media are incorrect, as security has begun to return to to the country.

Judge Dorota Krustoska indicated that she entered Syria and felt safe, contrary to what she used to hear through the media and that today she is living the best days of her life. She pointed out that the Bosra Theater will remain in her memory.

Joanna Karina, owner of a tourist office stated that her visit to Bosra Al-Sham was the first, expressing her happiness at what she saw of the antiquities that date back to thousands of years ago. She confirmed that she would return to Syria, accompanied by other tourist groups to spend longer periods in its parts.

Karina praised the services provided to tourist and archaeological sites. She pointed out that everything rumored about Syria in the Western media is incorrect, as security and safety are being consolidated in Syria.

For his part, the Director of Tourism in Daraa Yasser Al-Saadi said that through the information center in the city of Bosra, all services are provided, including brochures, which help the tourist to identify archaeological and cultural sites, in addition to providing everything necessary to highlight the historical and cultural face of Syria.
