Two Russian journalists stress President Al-Assad’s pioneering role and importance of Syria in the Arab League

The Russian journalist and political analyst, head of the Eurasian Media Center, Alexey Pilko, confirmed that the pioneering role of President Bashar Al-Assad resulted in popular victories for Syria against the terrorist aggression.

In an interview with SANA’s correspondent in Moscow today, Pilko pointed out that Syria’s return to play its role in the Arab League came against the background of the victories achieved by the Syrian people over terrorism.

The Russian journalist noted the high level of Syrian-Russian relations during the past years, which made the two countries as political and military allies.

The Russian journalist also noted Syria’s distinguished diplomatic activity during the Arab summit which concluded its activities in Jeddah last Friday.

In a similar interview, Roman Perevizintsev, a political commentator on the central Russian channel TVTS, stressed the importance of Syria’s return to the League of Arab States, pointing out that the world has become multipolar, cares about its national interests, speaks multiple languages, and is no longer subordinate to the Anglo-Saxon pole.

Perevizintsev expressed hope that the League of Arab States would restore Syria’s role as an independent regional political and economic center.

The Russian journalist praised the warm welcome that President Al-Assad enjoyed during his participation in the Arab Summit, considering that this constitutes a clear message to the United States and European countries that are accustomed to sowing seeds of discord among the people of the region.

Perevizintsev stressed that the countries of the region are today more courageous and capable of removing all the obstacles laid down by the West among the Arab countries. They also affirm their independence and freedom to arrange their relations on their own without any external dictates and paying attention to those who contributed to the bloodshed of the people of the region.
