Russian researchers: Syria’s return to the Arab League indicates the failure of the American and Israeli schemes

Russian researchers have stressed the importance of Syria’s return to its seat in the Arab League and its participation in the Arab Summit as this serves the Arab countries and means that the US and Israeli schemes have failed.

Yuri Zenin, senior researcher at the Academy of International Relations of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said that President Bashar Al-Assad’s participation in the Arab summit in Jeddah left deep impression on observers and analysts and constituted an important event in the history of this Arab organization.

In a statement to SANA correspondent in Moscow, Zenin said that Syria has always called for joint Arab action, even during the period in which the Syrian people suffered from many difficulties as a result of the crisis caused by the terrorist war and foreign interference.

He reiterated that recognizing the Syrian role again came thanks to Syria’s steadfastness and sacrifices that led to its victory over terrorism with the help of Syria’s friends, especially Russia, and that prevented terrorism and extremism to spread and expand to other countries.

For his part, the senior researcher at the Department of Arab and Islamic Studies at the Russian Oriental Institute Boris Dolgov said that Syria’s return to occupy its seat in the Arab League is of great importance, not only for the Arab countries but for the entire world as well, as this event means the failure of the plans of the United States and Israel.

Dolgov pointed out that Syria’s return to the Arab League indicates that many changes are coming to the Middle East, stressing that Syria’s return is a victory for its friends and a defeat for the American imperialism and its agents.
