Czech Communist Party: “We will stand against any US attempt to establish military bases in the Czech Republic”

Deputy leader of the Czech Moravi Communist Party Milan Krajča has announced the determination of his party as well as that of many other peaceful organizations and initiatives to stand against establishing US military bases on the land of the Czech Republic.

In a recent statement, Krajča said that the Czech Parliament has received the first batch of petitions which contain more than 10,000 signatures by Czech citizens who refuse setting up foreign military bases in their country.

He pointed out that handing over these petitions to the parliament in addition to the demonstrations and different activities that took place recently are forms of rejecting this move, stressing that the US attempts to establish military bases in the Czech will fail as happened between 2007 and 2009.

Krajča also said that next Tuesday, the party will organized a demonstration in front of the US Embassy in Prague to express rejection of any Us military presence in the Czech Republic.
