Arab officials at Jeddah Summit hail Syria’s return to its normal position in the Arab League  

Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammad Shayya Al-Sudani welcomed Syria’s return to its normal position in the Arab League, saying “this is an important step that we have supported from the very beginning”.

The Lebanese Caretaker Prime Minister Najeeb Miqati stated that Lebanon highly appreciates Syria’s return to the Arab League so that it can resume its full role in this Arab organization.

As’ad bin Tareq Al Saeed, the Omani Deputy Prime Minister hailed Syria’s effective participation in the activities of the Arab League, expressing satisfaction over President Bashar Al-Assad’s participation in the Arab summit and stressing his confidence that Syria will regain its position as an Arab beacon.

He Omani deputy Primer went on to say that preserving the Arab League and developing its work will enhance cooperation among the Arab countries in the service of the peoples of these countries.

Head of the Libyan Presidential Council Mohammed Al-Menfi, for his part, affirmed the need to implement a road map to solve the crisis in Libya through dialogue that ends the state of division and preserves the state’s institutions.
