The exhibition of Tony Al-Amir “The Puzzle Museum” opened

Tony Al-Amir , artist ,musician and  bassoon player held his first solo exhibition under the title “The PuzzleMuseum” at the Arab Cultural Center of Abu Rummaneh in Damascus.

The exhibition displayed about 23beautiful artistic medium and small wall paintings all of them made from Puzzle pieces. Some of them consist of five hundred pieces and the large ones consist of thirteen thousand pieces.

Puzzle paintings depicted beautiful world, islands, sea, the rose gardens, horses, and archaeological sites.

Tony Al-Amir told Syria times:  I have been practicing my hobby of assembling puzzles pieces for years,.

I expect this art does not exist in Syria, the art of assembling puzzle pieces is not familiar in galleries.This difficult art requires a great effort, serenity and  patience,

My work as musician helped me to focus and concentrate on achieving these beautiful works. He added.

“Assembling puzzles of one painting needs a long time sometimes it needs a year to work one paintings.This depends on the number of pieces, the more the number of pieces the more time is needed ” Tony said. 

Tony as a musician sees that that assembling puzzle pieces is a kind of art.Completing puzzles for him is a hobby that he does in his spare time because it needs calmness and a clear mind.

It is worth mentioning that Tony Al-Amir has been  a bassoon player in the National Symphony Orchestra since 2003 – he has been a bassoon teacher at the Higher Institute of Music since 2013, and a children’s bassoon trainer at the Ministry of Education’s orchestra and choir since 2011.
