President Al-Assad congratulates President Rouhani on nuclear agreement

 DAMASCUS, (ST)_ President Bashar Al-Assad phoned on Wednesday his Iranian counterpart  President Hassan Rouhani congratulating him and the friendly people of Iran on the agreement reached  in Geneva between Iran and the six powers  as regards Iran’s nuclear file.

” the success of the Iranian diplomacy in inking the agreement is diametrically came as a result of  the Iranian people’s steadfastness , clinging to their rights and the Iranian leadership’s principled stance  based on preserving Iran’s sovereignty and independent decision, “said  President Al-Assad .

“undoubtedly, this  achievement will boost  developing countries’ right  to get  peaceful nuclear energy in addition to bolstering  Iran’s regional and international position, “underlined President Al-Assad.

President Al-Assad added that the said  accomplishment  will reflect on Syria due to the strategic relation between the two countries.

President Rouhani, for his part, reaffirmed Iran’s standing by Syria in its war against terrorism , hoping that peace would prevail across Syria.
