5 Weak tremors monitored during the past 24 hours

The National Earthquake Center announced that 5 weak tremors were recorded during the past 24 hours.

The Center said in a statement reported by SANA that the stations of the National Seismic Monitoring Network recorded until the 3.07 am today 3 tremors in Iskenderun (Alexandretta) at a magnitude of  1.7 and 3.3 on the Richter scale and 2 tremors in Turkey at magnitude 2.6 and 3.5 on the Richter scale.

The intensity of tremors and earthquakes is measured by an index ranging between 1 and 10 degrees. From 1 to 4 is weak, does not cause any damage, and can only be felt, while from 4 to 6 degrees, the earthquake is average damage, and causes damage to buildings, and from 7 to 10 is in its maximum degree, It may destroy an entire city.
