Algeria affirms its categorical rejection of the European Parliament’s statement and its interference in its internal affairs

Algeria (ST): Algeria expressed its complete rejection and condemnation of the content of the statement issued by the European Parliament, which included many fallacies under the pretext of the principles of international law to launch lies against Algeria while continuing to interfere in the internal affairs of a sovereign state.

A statement by the Algerian National Assembly, reported by the Algerian news agency “WAJ”, said: “The National Assembly office expresses its absolute rejection and disapproval of the repeated fall of the institution of the European Parliament, which appeared to us today without shame with a truncated statement containing terrible fallacies, during which it takes the principles of international law and moral principles as a pretext and a cover for spreading lies against Algeria.”

Meanwhile, the Arab Parliament renewed its call on its European counterpart to immediately and completely stop appointing itself as guardian of the Arab countries, and called on it not to politicize human rights issues and use them as a pretext to interfere in Algeria’s internal affairs.

In a statement posted on its website, the Arab Parliament affirmed its categorical rejection and strong condemnation of the statement issued by the European Parliament on (freedom of expression) in the Republic of Algeria, stressing that it represents a blatant and unacceptable interference in the internal affairs of Algeria and a continuation of the unacceptable approach of similar statements issued by the European Parliament on human rights in the Arab countries.

The Arab Parliament rejected the lies and misleading information included in the statement of the European Parliament that are not based on any facts or objective evidence, adding that the unacceptable vocabulary and arrogant tone mentioned in the statement represents a flagrant violation of the principles of the United Nations and all international norms and laws, which affirm the principle of non-interference in the internal affairs of states.
