To secure fruits at lower prices ..  Al-Suwayda city plans to plant 223 thousand fruit tree seedlings this season

This season, the Directorate of Agriculture in Al-Suwayda city has approved a plan to produce 223,000 of fruit tree seedlings, with the purpose of securing them for farmers for the next season at lower prices than the market.

“The necessary services are currently being provided for the plants laid out in the plan, including irrigation, fertilizer and weeding, within the centers of Kom al-Hassil and spring of Araa, while constantly following up on their production according to the required technical specifications, in what serves the expansion of the cultivated areas and and the increase in Agricultural Production”,The head of the plant production department in the directorate, Akram Saray El-Din, stated in a statement to SANA News Agency reporter today.

He added, “The plants currently being prepared include olives, apples, pears, cherries, peaches, apricots, almonds, garnets, roses, rooted vines, pistachios, figs, pomegranates, berries and walnuts.”

Besides , 121,000 fruit tree plantings were sold to farmers during the current season by the Directorate of Agriculture in Al-Suwayda city.
