Al-Halqi: Int’l policy shift has positive impact on the world

DAMASCUS,(ST)_Prime Minister has said that the current changes in international policy will have positive impact on peoples in the region and around the world and on reaching a solution to the crisis in Syria.

Dr. Wael al-Halqi, who was speaking today in the cabinet’s weekly session, clarified that the emergence of a new international pole comprising- Russia, China, Iran and the BRICS countries- restores stability and balance to the international arena.

He sees that the changes in international policy will positively  have  an effect on reaching a solution to the crisis in his country through the national dialogue among the Syrians and under Syria’s leadership without foreign dictations and intervention.

Al-Halqi called on the international bodies that sponsor terrorism in Syria to immediately stop supporting terrorists and their influx from the neighboring countries.

“Strategic victory’

At the beginning of the session, the premier congratulated Iran on the ‘historic’ deal with the representatives of the so-called P5+1 nations – the US, the UK, Russia, France , China and Germany- on the Iranian Nuke program.

“The deal rehabilitated the international charters and peoples’ right to self-determination. It is a ‘historic’ and ‘strategic’ victory for the resistance axis in the region,” al-Halqi was quoted on the official news agency as saying.

The agency noted that today-session also dealt with the economic situation in the country plus the Polio vaccination campaign.

The cabinet approved a bill on electronic transaction that aims at facilitating trade and opening doors to foreign markets.
