Egyptian and Iraqi parties and personalities: Syria’s return to its Arab environment enhances joint Arab action

Egyptian and Iraqi parties and figures confirmed that Syria’s return to the Arab League enhances the efforts of Joint Arab action.

In a statement, the Rally Party in Egypt welcomed the decision of the Arab League Council at the level of foreign ministers to resume the participation of Syria and its delegations in the meetings of the league Council and all its affiliated organizations , stressing that this decision “is a motivation to strengthen the efforts of Joint Arab action and unification of positions on crucial issues, while preserving the sovereignty of Syria and its Arabism away from external interventions in its affairs, and enhancing its capabilities in eliminating terrorism and the exit of all foreign forces from it”.

In a similar statement, the Egyptian People’s Committee for Solidarity with the Syrian people confirmed that the decision of the Arab League is a serious and important step towards achieving an Arab rapprochement in line with the regional and international changes that the world is witnessing now.

It pointed out that terrorism and combating it is the first immediate issues to be addressed by the Arabs. The reconstruction of Syria after the global war that struck it should be a priority for Arab countries, in addition to alleviating the suffering of Syria and its people, especially under the unilateral measures imposed by the west on them.

High-ranking Egyptian officials confirmed that the decision to bring Syria back to the Arab League reflected the consensus of Arab countries to activate the Arab role in the Syrian file and that this decision had to be taken a long time ago, indicating that Damascus ‘ resumption of its activities at the league will help to gradually correct the situation and continue Arab efforts that will end the suffering of the Syrian people.

They stressed that Syria is an integral part of the Arab world and has always been an active country in determining the course of the region, explaining that a stable and strong Syria is an important addition to the Arab family.

From Baghdad, the head of the Iraqi National Wisdom Movement, Ammar al-Hakim, stressed that Syria’s return to its Arab surroundings is a major leap in achieving stability in the region and solving the problems it faces, expressing his hope that brotherly and friendly countries will support Syria in reconstruction process.

A number of prominent Iraqi personalities also welcomed this decision, stressing that “the Joint Arab action gains Syria’s return as one of the most important elements of its revival, in order to meet the challenges facing the Arab nation. They expressed their hope that the decision will be a gateway for effective action in the face of political, economic and security challenges facing all Arab countries.
