12 Medals for the Syrian National Team in the West Asian Fencing Championship.

The Syrian National Fencing Team achieved 12 medals (2 silver and 10 bronze) in the West Asian Championship for age groups which concluded its competitions in the Jordanian capital, Amman, with the participation of 10 teams.

On the last day of the championship, which is dedicated to team matches; The Syrian team won 5 medals (1 silver and 4 bronze) in the female category in the saber and epee weapon, while the male category achieved 1 bronze in the saber weapon.

The rest medals came in the individual competitions through player Youshaa Saker who won the silver medal for the epee weapon for the U 13 category. Player Ghazal Dabayat won bronze medal for the saber weapon for the U 15 category, Tala Al Jurdi won 2 bronze medals for the epee and saber weapon for the U-11 category, Raman Mounir won bronze for the saber weapon for the U-13 category and Youssef Al-Jardi won the bronze for the saber weapon for the category of males under 13 years old.

It is noteworthy that ten teams participated in the tournament representing Syria, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Iraq, Palestine, Lebanon, Bahrain, UAE and Qatar.
