The European Union: Demolitions are illegal and Israel must stop them and respect the right of Palestinian children to education

On May 7th, the European Union affirmed that all demolitions are illegal under international law and called on the Israeli occupation authorities to halt them and to respect the right of Palestinian children to education.

The Union said in a statement that “Israel” must stop all demolitions and evictions, which will only lead to an increase in the suffering of the Palestinians.

The Union expressed its shock at the Israeli occupation authorities’ demolition of the “Al-Tahadi 5” (Challenge 5) school funded by the European Union, which serves 60 students in Jub al-Dhib in the town of Beit Tamar, east of Bethlehem, in the West Bank.

This  morning, the occupation forces demolished the “Al-Tahadi 5” school, bringing the number of schools demolished since 2016 to 11schools.
