Syrian-Iranian talks to enhance cooperation in the financial sector

Damascus (ST): Finance Minister Dr. Kinan Yaghi discussed with Iranian Minister of Economic and Financial Affairs Ihsan Khandozi and his accompanying delegation ways to enhance joint cooperation between Syria and Iran in the sectors of insurance, banking, customs, taxes and fees.

Minister Yaghi confirmed during his meeting  with Khandozi at the Ministry of Finance headquarters in Damascus that the two sides discussed practical steps to expand economic and financial cooperation between the two countries, referring to the depth of the strategic relations that bring together the two friendly countries.

For his part, Minister Khandozi underlined the importance of expanding the horizons of cooperation in all fields, financial, customs and banking, especially in the insurance sector, pointing to his country’s continuation in moving forward in advancing and developing bilateral cooperation relations in a way that serves common interests.
