Damascus, (ST)- The Tourism Minister, BishrYaziji, and the Indian charge d’affairsin Damascus,ShyamDut Sharma on Tuesday discussed ways to promote cooperation in various fields of tourism and the prospects of development ofthese relations between the two countries.
Mr. Yaziji called to activate the process of exchanging expertise, especially in the field of medical and rural tourism and student missions for the rehabilitation of tourist cadres and participation in exhibitions and tourism events that are held in the two countries, noting ancient cultural relations between the two countries and the two peoples.
For his part, Mr. Sharma said that India is keen to develop friendship and cooperation relations with Syria in the various fields particularly Syria has great potential in the field of tourism. He noted that India cooperates with Syria in the field of training courses,MA and PHD scholarships .
