Israeli occupation forces detain 13 Palestinians in occupied West Bank

RAMALLAH – Israeli occupation forces today detained at least 13 Palestinians from various parts of the occupied West Bank, including a former cabinet minister and two minors, according to local sources.

Israeli forces rounded up five Palestinians from the Ramallah area during raids , four  from Jalazon refugee camp, and the fifth is former cabinet minister Khaled Abu Arafeh, who is actually from East Jerusalem but was banished to Ramallah after serving time in prison for his political activities.

In the south of the West Bank, Israeli occupation forces detained seven Palestinians from the Hebron area; six of them from Beit Ummar town, north of Hebron city, including two minors aged 16 and 17, and the seventh from Fawwar refugee camp.

In the Bethlehem area, a 26-year-old Palestinian man was detained from the village of Beit Tamer, east of Bethlehem city.

Settlers attack Palestinian home near Bethlehem

On the other hand, in Bethlehem, the Israeli settlers on Tuesday attacked a Palestinian home in the village of Kisan, east of the biblical city of Bethlehem, according to Kisan village council head Mousa Ibayyat.

He told WAFA that settlers from the illegal Maale Amos settlement built on Kisan land threw rocks at the home of Ali Yousef Ibayyat causing panic and fear among its residents.

Ali Ibayyat, a herder, was previously assaulted by settlers causing him injuries and bruises. Settlers have also built a tent next to his home.
