European delegation: We stand by Syria and Resistance Axis

A European delegation composed of 10 intellectuals , journalists, former officers and activists from France, Belgium and Switzerland, who oppose the official Western media’s narrative and present themselves as friends of Syria, Russia and all countries that resist Anglo-Saxon and Atlantic hegemony, arrived in Syria on the 28th of April for a one-week visit.

The visit was prepared by the Organization of International Movement for Peoples’ Sovereignty, which is headed by the Syrian writer Adnan Azzam.

The goals of the delegation’s visit  are to offer condolences to the Syrian leadership and people for the earthquake that hit the country last February and to stress the need for lifting the siege imposed on the country.

The delegation will hold dialogues with Syrian political analysts, journalists and humanitarian associations that take care of victims of earthquake and martyrs’ families in the governorates of Damascus, Aleppo and Sweida and the coastal areas in accordance with a program prepared in coordination with the Syrian concerned authorities.

On the 29th of April, the delegation held dialogue with political analysts, journalists, writers and intellectuals at the headquarters of the Arab Writers Union in Damascus.

They said in a statement, read by Mr. Azzam in Arabic, that their existence in Syria translates their sincere will to activate the friendship relation, which is based on respecting peoples’ sovereignty.

Mr. Azzam indicated that one of the delegation’s members, Janvier Claude [Former officer], stood during a conference held one month ago in France and said: “I am a soldier of the Syrian Arab Army”.

He also pointed out that two activists, who are within the delegation, belong to a French Party called ”Equality and Reconciliation” [Égalité et Réconciliation) (E&R) ] .

The delegation’s members affirmed in their statement that western media is dominated by the Zionist Israel, asserting that their role as French nationalists is to edit the piece of news and to republish it through alternative media.

They added that Europe, especially France, shoulders responsibility for what has happened in Syria due to  its history.

“We have sympathized with Syria since the beginning of the war on it in 2011 because we understood that a new page of history is being written on Syrian soil…… This war has been planned and managed by the Atlantic and Israeli regimes, who  used extremist religious ideology and paid billions of dollars to the mercenaries who came from all over the world to Syria,” the delegation stated.

“Today, in the Francophone Europe, which includes France, Belgium and Switzerland, there are more than 150 TV channels that had broadcasted over the past 4 months the meetings that we held in Paris, Geneva and Brussels on Syria… Now our task as Syrians is to convey news to these channels. ”The official media started to lose its credibility. For example, the French “ Libération” newspaper, which had millions of readers, distributes nowadays 9000 issues only. We as European nationalists daily write about the events in Syria and Russia . France 24  is one of the offices of the French Foreign Ministry, it is not affiliated to Information Ministry,” Mr. Azzam said.

The members of the delegation asserted that the French opposition will break its silence and it will start to work in a  positive and accurate way.

“We stand by Syria and the resistance axis,“ one of the members declared, affirming that the economic pressures on Europe are behind the involvement of EU governments in international crises and wars.

The members of the delegation are Cuttat Philippe, Delawarde Dominique, Garacotche Alexandre, Janvier Claude, Léon Maurizio, Merabet Halima, Mouillard Dominique, Mugerin Deivy, Pertegas Frank, Plas Pierre, Squifflet Geneviève
