The National Center for Earthquakes: 20 mild earthquakes were recorded within 24 hours, two of which were in the morning
Damascus (ST): Today, an earthquake measuring 3.2 degrees on the Richter scale struck 6 kilometers northeast of Hama, at 8:48 am.
The National Earthquake Center said in a statement that the tremor was recorded at 36.761 east longitude, 35.181 north latitude, and at a depth of 10.5 km.
The Center indicated that another earthquake was recorded at 8:15 am this morning in Iskenderun, 59 km northwest of Idlib, at longitude 36 east, latitude 36.071 north, with a depth of 8.1 km, and a magnitude of 4.2 degrees according to the Richter scale.
The National Seismological Center also announced that its monitoring stations recorded, during the past 24 hours, from yesterday evening until 7 am today, 18 weak tremors, including an earthquake in the Syrian coast north of Lattakia, 43 km, measuring 2.5 degrees, and an earthquake southwest of Tartous, 31 km, measuring 1.4 degrees.
