Rodriguez: The United States is the country that benefits the most from the arms industry

On April 27th, Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla confirmed that the United States is the most profitable country in terms of military industries and arms sales in the world.

Rodriguez Parrilla said on his Twitter account: “The increase in global military spending was alarming in 2022 for the eighth year in a row, reaching $2.24 trillion, according to the Independent International Institute for Conflict Research.”

Rodriguez Parrilla added: “39 percent of this huge number belongs to the United States, and thus it is the most profitable country that benefits from the “death industry’ (arms industry).”
