PLO: Continued international silence over the occupation’s crimes warns of an explosive situation in the region

Occupied Al-Quds, (ST) – The Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) has warned that the continued international silence on the racist crimes and violations of the occupation against the Palestinians and their sanctities will explode the situation not only in Palestine, but in the entire region.

Ramzi Khoury, member of the Executive Committee of the organization, affirmed in a statement reported by WAFA Agency that the occupation’s aggression against Islamic and Christian holy sites, Al-Aqsa Mosque in particular, and the repeated storming of Bab Al-Rahma chapel and destroying its contents will not grant it any sovereignty over the mosque or over al-Quds ( Jerusalem),  because it is a Palestinian city with its Islamic and Christian sanctities according to the relevant international legitimacy resolutions.

Khoury pointed out that these attacks coincide with the escalation of daily crimes committed by the occupation and terrorist settler groups in the cities of the West Bank, in an attempt to break the will of the Palestinian people and undermine their steadfastness.

In a related context, Khoury condemned the repeated settler attacks on Al-Ibrahimi mosque in Al-Khalil under the protection of the occupation forces, in an attempt to impose a fait accompli and implement a plan to Judaize it.

For his part, member of the Executive Committee of the organization Faisal Aranki affirmed that “Israel” does not care about international legitimacy and does not respect laws related to human rights and freedom of worship. He called on the United Nations, the Security Council and the International Criminal Court to take urgent action to prosecute the Israeli officials and provide protection for the Palestinian people and grant them all their legitimate national rights.
