The Chinese President receives the credentials of the new Syrian Ambassador  

Chinese President Xi Jinping on Monday received the credentials of the new Syrian Ambassador to China Muhammed Hassanin Khaddam and the credentials of 69 other ambassadors.

China’s Xinhua News Agency reported that Xi held a meeting with the ambassadors yesterday at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. He expressed China’s willingness to deepen the bonds of friendship, to expand cooperation with the people of other countries on the basis of equality and mutual benefit and to enhance China’s relations with these countries.

The Chinese president expressed his hope that the ambassadors would gain a comprehensive and deep understanding of China and serve as envoys of friendship and bridges of cooperation, stressing China’s determination to provide all kinds of support to the ambassadors to perform their duties.

The Chinese President conveys his greetings and best wishes to leaders of the ambassadors’ countries and to leaders of the organizations in which they work and to their peoples.
