The National Earthquake Center: 17 tremors in the past 24 hours
On April 23rd, the National Earthquake Center announced that 17 earthquakes of low intensity were recorded during the past 24 hours.
The center stated that the stations of the National Seismic Monitoring Network recorded, until 7:11 am today we’re as follows 9 tremors in Alexandretta , with intensities ranging between 1.6 and 2.4 on the Richter scale, and 6 tremors in Turkey, with intensities ranging between 2.0 and 3. 0 degrees.
The center added: The stations also recorded an earthquake west of Tartous at a distance of 43 km, with an intensity of 2.2 degrees on the Richter scale, in addition to an earthquake west of Homs at a distance of 29 km.
