Damascus- Syria is following up on events in Sudan with great concern and hopes that security and stability will be restored to the Sudanese people, an official source at the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said in a statement on Saturday.

Syria is also following up on the situation of the Syrian community and the Syrian diplomatic mission in the brotherly country of Sudan, the source added.

According to the source, the Ministry has instructed the Syrian Embassy in Khartoum to register the names of members of the Syrian community who want to be evacuated from the country in order to maintain their safety and keep a way from danger.
