The Tunisian judiciary orders the imprisonment of Rashid Ghannouchi

Today, the investigative judge of the Court of First Instance in Tunis issued a prison warrant against the head of the (Ennahda) movement, Rached Ghannouchi.

According to the Tunisian Al-Shorouk newspaper, the investigating judge at Office 33 of the Court of First Instance in Tunis issued at dawn today a prison warrant against the head of the Ennahda Movement, Rashid Ghannouchi, in the case related to committing a conspiracy to attack the internal security of the state, which is intended to change the state’s body and force the population to attack each other.

On the 28th of last June, the Tunisian judiciary officially charged 33 people with belonging to a terrorist organization, including the head of the Ennahda Movement and the speaker of the dissolved parliament, Rashid Ghannouchi.
