The Syrian community in Chile celebrates the Independence Day

Members of the Syrian community in Chile reaffirmed their stand and solidarity with their motherland, Syria, in the face of terrorism, expressing their confidence in victory over this terrorism and its supporters and financiers.

The Syrian community in Chile held a massive event on the occasion of the 77th Anniversary of the Evacuation Day at the United Syrian Club headquarters in Santiago, and was attended by a large crowd of members of the diplomatic corps, and a representative of the Chilean Ministry of Foreign Relations.

Acting Chargé d’Affairs of the Syrian Embassy in Santiago, Ghassan Anjiri, delivered a speech in which he addressed the importance of this occasion, which reflects the Syrian people’s faith in their homeland and independence, and in building the future hand in hand with the Syrians in expatriation who always support their country’s national issues.

For his part, the representative of the Chilean Ministry of Foreign Relations, Ambassador Juan Manuel Pino Vasquez, congratulated Syria and the Syrian community on the occasion of Evacuation Day, wishing best relations between the two countries.

Club President Antonio Sabbagh affirmed Syria’s ability to overcome the wounds of the terrorist war and to withstand the unilateral coercive measures imposed on it.
