Cultural and sports activities and various craft exhibitions were included in the 25th session of the Sheikh Mujahid Saleh Al-Ali Festival, which will last for two days in the Al-Dareeh square of Sheikh Badr City in Tartus governorate.
Dr. Reem Othman, President of the Association for Love and Care for Autistic Children, explained that they will participate in the festival with handicrafts and artwork, recycling old fabrics, bags and rosaries made by the children themselves to encourage and help them to market their products.
Poets Mamdouh Laiqah of Lattakia, Alloush Assaf of Hasakah, Mahmoud Habib and Yousef Maalla of Tartus expressed their pleasure and pride in participating in the festival, especially from the Mihrab of Mujahid Sheikh Saleh Al-Ali, who, along with his comrades, considered a legend in the defense of the homeland.
According to the director of the Sheikh Badr Club, Ayham Ismail, the festival also included a marathon to commemorate the anniversary of the evacuation and the sacrifices of our heroes.
The marathon’s starting point was next to Wadi Wrur, where the most important battles of the revolution took place passing by the statue of Mujahid Sheikh Saleh Al-Ali.
The Republic’s karate and athletics champions, members of the Sheikh Badr Sports Club, were honored at the end of the ceremony.
