Palestinian Foreign Ministry: Palestinians stress their adherence to their land and sanctities

Occupied Al-Quds, (ST) – The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed that the Palestinians’ march towards the city of Al-Quds ( Jerusalem),  the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Ibrahimi Mosque in the city of Al-Khalil (Hebron) last night is conclusive evidence of the failure of the Israeli occupation policy and its Judaization plans.

“This matter has proved the Palestinian people’s adherence to their full rights and sanctities despite the tyranny of the occupation and its collective punishment that violates international law”, the ministry added.

In a statement reported by Wafa News Agencyon Tuesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the Israeli acts of forcing the worshipers and those who are staying inside the Ibrahimi Mosque to leave it and the occupation’s acts of closing its gates and attacking Palestinians in the vicinity of the mosque.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs also condemned the occupation forces’ abuse and restrictions against Palestinians coming from the occupied Palestinian territories of 1948, and the areas of the West Bank during their entry to Al-Quds and their exit from Al-Aqsa Mosque. It pointed out that these measures are part of the occupation’s colonialist policy that aims at imposing more control over the Palestinian sanctities.

The Foreign Ministry denounced the international community’s refraining from assuming its responsibilities to provide international protection for the Palestinian people, calling for effective international measures to deter the occupation and force it to stop its crimes against the Palestinians.

Despite the occupation’s restrictions, Al-Aqsa Mosque hosted hundreds of thousands of Palestinian worshipers on Laylat Al-Qadr, with all its courtyards and corridors filled with worshipers who came from all over the occupied Palestinian territories.

The Islamic Endowments Department estimated the numbers of those who performed the Isha and Tarawih prayers at about 280,000 worshipers.
