Ghassan Masoud Stars in Ridley Scott’s “Exodus”

Syrian world actor Ghassan Masoud, who played the great leader “Saladin” in the British director Ridley Scott’s “Kingdom of Heaven” in 2005, is to join the crew of a new film by the same director called “Exodus”.

Masoud has recently finished filming his parts in the movie, which is of the “20th Century Fox” production and which tackles the life of Prophet Moses.

Starring in the film, which is due to be screened at world cinema houses in the 3D technique, are Christian Bale, Ben Kingsley, Joel Edgerton, Aaron Paul, Ghassan Masoud and others.

Masoud will play the role of the top advisor of Pharaoh Ramses, the pharaoh who is believed to have ruled over Egypt during Prophet Moses’ time.

On his role, Masoud said he plays the character of the advisor of Pharaoh Ramses and his father, so he is a witness to the Pharaoh era. Sometimes, he is silent, satisfied with watching everything in an observer’s eye, and other times he talks and gives Ramses advices when necessary. His silence is wanted to be as effective as his talk.

The Syrian actor described his second experience with Ridely Scott as amazing.

“He used to lead me to the control room to explain to me how up to date technology is employed to serve film making,” Masoud said.

He added “For me, it was exciting to know some details of what he was thinking about. It was also fantastic to see a director at his age with such great experience still having the enthusiasm of a young man. Scott extraordinarily adores his work and enjoys a very high sense of commitment.”

Masoud had earlier apologized for not joining Scott’s film “The Body of Lies”.

“Exodus” opens in U.S. theaters on December 12th, 2014.
