Syrian Armed forces commemorate Evacuation Day

The Syrian valiant armed forces commemorated the 77th anniversary of Evacuation Day (Independence Day), as the units celebrated this national occasion, which came as the culmination of the struggle of a great people and a homeland that rejects humiliation and indignity.

The Ministry of Defense said on its website that “the military bases were decorated on this occasion, and speeches were delivered expressing the importance of Independence Day and the need to be inspired by its eternal meanings in confronting the forces of oppression and aggression and their terrorist tools.”

In their speeches, the commanders affirmed that “Syria, with its proud people and valiant army, is capable of reviving the glories of independence and the heroics of the past, leading to the construction of the present and the future.”

The commanders said that the men of our armed forces today preserve the sacred trust in defending the homeland, behind the wise and courageous leadership of the President, Lt. Gen. Bashar al-Assad.

On this occasion, sports and military performances were also held that embodied the strength and determination of the Syrian fighter, and showed high skill and superior manhood that express the originality of our valiant army, its ancient history and honorable present.
